Blogging for Artists with Megan Coyle
Thursday, July 15th, 2010, 7:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.
The Art League Gallery

Join collage artist Megan Coyle as she discusses blogging for artists based on her experience in online marketing. Coyle has blogged about her artwork for over three years. During the course of that time, she has utilized social media to draw attention to her work and has used blogging to reach a broader audience. Coyle strongly believes that the internet is an essential tool for artists today – and blogging is one of the many ways to create a fan base for your work.
Coyle has worked in online marketing and web design during the past couple of years. She became interested in working with the web while at school at Elon University. Since graduating in 2008, she has taught herself how to use HTML and CSS, both of which have helped her customize the look and feel of her blog.
She currently uses her blog to post about her work in progress, recently finished work, and news about her latest exhibitions. She also posts related press stories and interviews, and includes posts that feature a pet project of hers called “The Adventures of Bosty.”
This event is free and open to the public.
